Shipping, Duty & Delivery β How It Actually Works
Every price on this site is a delivered duty paid (DDP) price for an address in the continental United States. Freight, export clearance, US customs entry, import duty and tariffs, and final-mile delivery are all inside the number you see on the product page. There is no customs invoice and no carrier release fee waiting for you after the truck leaves.
The lane we actually use
US dedicated line (standard). Your order travels with our consolidated sea freight from Shanghai, clears US customs as a single DDP entry, and is handed to UPS or FedEx for the final mile. Door-to-door transit is 45 to 60 days from the consolidation date. Tracking is issued once the shipment departs.
Truck freight (LTL) for heavy and oversize. Shelving, racking, roller cabinets and trolley jacks exceed the parcel limits below. These ship on a pallet by truck freight and are quoted individually β the product page shows Price on request rather than a number we cannot honour.
How shipping weight is calculated
Carriers bill on the greater of actual weight and volumetric weight, and our forwarder uses a 6000 divisor: volumetric weight (kg) = length Γ width Γ height in centimetres Γ· 6000. A light, bulky carton is therefore charged like a heavy one. We state packed weight and packed volume on every product page so you can see which side of that formula your order falls on.
Where we deliver β and where we do not
We ship to the contiguous 48 states only. Our sea lane does not serve PO boxes, APO/FPO/DPO military addresses, Alaska (995β999), Hawaii and Guam (966β969), or Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands (006β009). Orders to those destinations are cancelled and refunded before dispatch.
Size and weight limits on the parcel lane
- Single carton over 22 kg β heavy-lift surcharge applies.
- Single carton from 40 kg to 60 kg β large-parcel surcharge applies.
- Longest side over 120 cm β oversize surcharge applies; over 150 cm is quoted as freight.
- Over 68 kg, or longest side over 270 cm, or length + girth over 415 cm β not accepted on the parcel lane at any price. These move by truck freight and are quoted.
What we cannot ship
Liquids, powders, aerosols, flammables, corrosives and loose lithium cells are not accepted on this lane. Sealed lead-acid and lithium battery packs require an MSDS, UN38.3 test summary and a sea transport classification before booking. For that reason a small number of chemical consumables in our European catalogue are simply not listed here.
Tariffs and country of origin
Every carton is declared at its true commercial value and marked Made in China. We do not under-declare to shave duty: under-valuation is what triggers a Customs exam, and the penalties and demurrage land on the shipment, not on us. See the tariffs page for how Section 301, Section 232 and anti-dumping duties are handled in your price.
