What it is for

A floor squeegee moves water and debris to a drain in one pass; a broom spreads it around. The parts that fail are the blade, which hardens and stops hugging the floor, and the joint where the head meets the handle, which folds under a push. These use a rubber blade with a reinforced centre rib and a socket that takes a standard broom handle.

Width is the choice that matters: 45 cm for kitchen and workshop floors and around equipment, 60 cm for open shop floors and yards where fewer passes means less time. Both take the same handle, so one handle does both if you buy it separately.
