region_note_h Customs and duty: our DDP lanes include import duty and clearance, so the price on this page is the price you pay. Where the $3.48-per-item duty applies to low-value consignments, we group items into sets precisely so the cost is spread rather than multiplied.

What it is for

A catch is what keeps a door closed when there is no handle and no lock, and it is chosen on two things: the pull it has to resist and the gap it has to work across. Magnetic catches suit a door with a small gap and a light pull; roller catches suit a door that has to stay closed against a warp in the panel.

The holding force of a magnetic catch is per catch, and a pair is used on anything wider than a 400 mm door. Roller catches are screwed to the carcass and the strike to the door, so the alignment is set by the two screw holes rather than by the magnet.

Specification detail

4 pieces in carbon steel with a zinc plated finish: magnetic versions use a ferrite magnet in a plated housing, the roller version uses a sprung steel roller with a strike plate, and the bolt version is screwed to the inside of the door. Screws are included.

Buying more than one

Orders are consolidated and re-weighed at intake, and freight is re-calculated on the actual chargeable weight. If you are ordering several items for one address, ask us for a combined quote before paying — mixing light and bulky items usually brings the freight share down.
