It does one thing well: it holds a cellar's worth of boxes at a price that makes sense, and it goes together in ten minutes without a screwdriver. The 875 kg figure is the total for the unit; the number that matters in daily use is 175 kg per shelf. A crate of tiles is 40 kg, a full tool box 25 kg — so a shelf takes what you would expect, and nothing more.
At 21 kg this rack is not heavy, but it is voluminous, which is why it travelled badly on per-kilogram freight and why it comes back on the full-container lane instead. It is loaded at our Shanghai warehouse into a 40HQ container and released once the container is filled, so the transit is 45–60 days door to door. In exchange the freight share of the price falls below 6%, and that is the whole reason this rack is on sale again.
